The mastering team used a completely analogue signal path and were guided by the notes made by the cutting engineers for the first pressing of the album. I don't have the Michelle issue mentioned by two of the reviewers. Review Changes Great sounding pressing, nice and quiet with a great mono mix. On my copy, Michelle sounds incredibly "hot" (to the point of distortion on Paul's voice). If you are a casual Beatles fan and already have the stereo version, I wouldn't really recommend shelling out again and buying this version but if like me you're a bit of a Beatles anorak,go for it! Second time around it didn't sound as distorted, but the mix of the background singers is still very strange. This release has have asterisk for each track of side A and B. Rubber Soul has always been one of my favourite albums and I am really happy to finally have the original mix. Meticulous packaging and very full, warm sound.

My disc has a slightly higher pitch but the release indicates this remaster and cut were done following instructions from the engineers responsible for the 65 release so I'm guessing this higher pitch is normal?
